Highlights of our week
- We are really enjoying Chris being home and being able to spend time with him.
- Collins has been staying at Dad's this week since their air conditioning broke and it has been wonderful having her out here.
- Mellissa and Tony's wedding went great and no issues. It was a little warm but fans, a breeze and shade helped out.
- Wedding cake....need I say more?
- Chris and I had dinner with Kelli, Mike, Dad and Judy at Zapata's after a really rough Thursday. I had my heart close to broken and this event made me smile. Thanks for all the calls/texts to say hi and check on me as well.
- On Friday evening, Cohen lost his battle. We all shed many tears for Brent and Megan. Our hearts are so heavy for them. It isn't fair that such a precious little Angel lost his battle so early. God has a plan and even if we don't understand it, we have to believe it. Even when it is hard. Please pray for their comfort during this difficult time.
- Hailey Grace got a great package from Uncle John Davis yesterday. She loves getting stuff in the mail and was beyond excited. He is in Concord still and recently took a trip to Maine and sent her all kinds of goodies. A great sweater for this fall, a fun toy lobster, a lobster hat and Main salt water taffy. It's so yummy!!! I will post pictures soon.
- Hailey is having a late nap and we are going next door to eat catfish at Lee's and enjoy their cool misters on the patio. With the late nap, I'm sure we'll be up late catching lighting bugs.
- Tomorrow is Father's day. I love Holidays, all holidays. We'll start the day off celebrating my dad and Chris and then head on to Sulphur Springs. Today is also Lynn's birthday so it will be a day of celebrating.
