Yesterday morning, she woke up going strong and playing outside by 7:30. I decided that the throwing up was just a fluke because she had drank some milk before playing outside in the 100 degree heat. That would definitely make me throw up (if I drank milk). I asked Hailey if she wanted to go to school or stay home with me. For the next 20 minutes while getting her dressed, she was screaming for school. Like I said, I thought she was fine. Hailey was bouncing off the walls. A couple of hours after I left her, Mandy phoned me to pick her up. Poor sweet Hailey had pooped all over her clothes, shoes, the floor and Mandy's shoes. Mandy is her teacher if you all were wondering. She actually thought Hailey threw up again since it was yellow and smelled like throw up. Then she found the source. Poor Mandy and all other toddler teachers. When I arrived, Amy was bleaching the stained floor and Hailey was happy as a little bug in her diaper acting just fine. But oh did the room smell! YUK!
We spent the rest of the afternoon resting, playing, watching a Minnie Mouse movie, reading, cooking dinner (plain pork chops, steamed potatoes and green beans), doing laundry (the STORY OF MY LIFE) and then started settling down around 7. She was fine when she finally gave out around 9 and slept until 6 this morning. I woke to her jumping on the bed saying "Momma chocolate milk- chocolate milk and cookies". Yeah right, how about apple cinnamon Cheerios's and water. By 9:30, I gave in to the hour long screaming of eggs. By the time she finished her eggs, they were all over the place. Why I gave in, I have no idea. Dang eggs! Then she refused to take off her shirt because she picked it out to wear this morning, a cute shirt with a whale on it. I bribed her a little and we worked a deal. I can tell that there are going to be many bribes in the future. This was an easy one.......chocolate milk if she got dressed in clean clothes. haha, little did she know that we were going to Super 1 to get SOY chocolate milk so it wouldn't upset her belly. Such a sneaky little mom!!
Off to Super 1 Foods with a stop by Poppy's office to dump some trash. We can't stop without spending 30 minutes because Hailey loves visiting Poopy, Yaya & Kiki. It's funny that Hailey picked out their "grandma names" for when they have grandchildren. We got to Super 1 and I LOVE how they put all their best specials up front. It's like an isle of nothing but super savings. First up, pasta for 59 cents. Whooo hoo, a huge bag for less than a $1. I bought a ton because we we a ton of pasta. Next in line, Capri Suns. Yes, I just posted that horrible picture below but they are super easy for Hailey's party. I promise to check each one. I believe they were $1.50 for 10 (maybe $1.80). Pampers were on sale for $15 for 80 of then (maybe 90) and it was the 12 hour protection ones. We've been using Huggies overnight during the night but we can use these around the clock. Also, they are only $1 more than the Target brand during this sale. SCORE! Soup packages, $1.87 and we bought all sorts, chicken noodle, chicken and wild rice, beef stew. It's the seasonings for the soup and all you do is add the meat. Hailey loves thicker soups and they are easy for lunches and snacks. We grabbed her chocolate soy milk and were out the door. Oh and let's not forget the Cheetos's we ate due to her screaming bloody murder for them. Plus, the Cheetos's were REALLLLLLLLY calling my name. I have no will power. no will power what so ever. Maybe that is why I've gained nearly 15 pounds while living in Texarkana. We eat so well! :)
Two dirty diapers later, I FINALLY give her some soy milk. She enjoys it although it tastes a little different. I get her down for a nap at 1 only to her waking an hour later. She is currently thinking about going back to sleep. We shall see. I really hope she does as she needs a 2 hour nap when getting up at 6 am. I would love a nap with her but I am writing a resume for a friend and waiting on laundry to get done. I also hope to get a quick shower if she goes back to sleep. Right now, she is telling this annoying fly to "shoo fly don't bother me" in the cutest little voice.
My friend Leslie was promoted to a manager of a department store and will be moving next weekend to Ruston, Louisiana. I am so happy for her as she put in many long hours of work while other were discouraging her from following what she wanted (to be a manager). She is super sweet and will do great at management. So tonight, a couple of us are meeting for dinner before she moves. Next week, we are heading out of town and she is packing /working so tonight was the best night. Hailey Grace is heading to Mia's at 5 and has been talking about it since yesterday. She misses her Mia time!
Chris's cousin Laura just sent me a text saying that Leslie (not the one above but cousin Leslie) is at the hospital, in labor and dilated to a 5. It won't be much longer!!! Come on Miss Rylie Brooke!! I can't wait to see her little face and I bet she is a CHUNK. I love babies with rolls, LOVE THEM. I am sad however that I don't get to go over and see her tomorrow. I hope to do so soon, I have a cute gift for Miss Rylie Brooke. Don't you just love that name? It's different and I think that is why I like so much. Or maybe because both names were on our list for Hailey??
A sweet, loving and wonderful family is going through a really tough time right now. Some of you know Maggie's story and have asked from time to time how she is doing. The beautiful, brave little 9 year old girl is loosing her battle as I type this blog. DIPG brain tumors are heart breaking and I can only hope and pray they find some kind of cure or relief one day. I have known this family my entire life, her grandmother taught all four of us, her mom was best friends with my cousin growing up, I used to dream about looking like Kristie (Maggie's mom) when I was little, she is breath taking and so good inside and out. I named my baby dolls after her. I will never understand why terrible things happen to amazing and loving people. They dreamed of their precious little girl for years before she arrived only to have her taken from them much too soon. Please say a prayer of comfort and peace for their families during this difficult time.
Sorry for the long post and no pictures. My small camera have just about given up. I'll get some good ones of Hailey Grace and try to post in the next day or two.
She did get a package full of fun stuff from Kristen yesterday. I don't think she has let the Dora beanie out of her site since opening the box. We'll try the juice box holder in a day or two, I'm not brave enough to let Hailey have juice today. haha! The bows, already in her bag for next week but we might have to wear them this weekend!! Thanks Kristen, we loved everything!!!!

Well, that is our day up until 2:30. Have a great night!!
