18 Days.. HUGE UPDATE!

Well it's been 18 days since I've updated our blog. I guess you could say I'm behind a little. Traveling, training, Hailey, job interviews, etc have kept me running most of the month.
We are all doing good, actually better than we have been. The job interviews are going fantastic and think Chris will actually have a couple of offers. There is one we are praying for really hard so if you could say a little prayer that would be extra special to us. I trained in NW San Antonio last week and learned a lot. I honestly didn't think finding a job right now was so hard, even in the restaurant business. I learned differently. There are so many wonderful people with 10-20 years of experience who are looking for a job. It is a sad, sad deal and I wish I could snap my fingers and help them out. Unfortunately, we know that the world doesn't work like that. I will work 15-20 hours a week but am willing to work much more if needed. Most of the hours will be between 7-10 in the morning and 2-4 in the afternoon. Those of you who have ever worked in the business know that you can't call any other times and expect to get someone on the phone.
Once arriving home, we've been lazy. The weather changed to snow and ice so we've been indoors mostly. We did get to see the Boatrights and stopped in Irving on the way home for a couple of days. I must say that we enjoyed but couldn't wait to get home. Travel can just be so hard!

I've missed seeing you on here. I was hoping all was ok. Sounds like you have been super busy! I will be praying for everything for you and hope that all turns out well with your husband's job offers too! :)

ps. on those cake plates, dessert stands, my mom uses Goop glue. I use Beacon 527 multi use glue. Anything think and dries clear will do.

the okra chips are crazy good!

We are doing good, just traveling like crazy. I think Hailey and I are staying put for two weeks or so. I have parties each weekend through April 11 so I'm going to be worn out.
On the job thing, it is funny how all of a sudden everyone wants to interview you and wants you on their team. We are trying to make the best decision for us as a family and our future children. Like areas, states, insurance, family life, etc. It's stressful!

I will have to go to Michael's or Hobby Lobby for that glue.

I have a ton of fresh okra so maybe I can find a recipe for the chips?
