We left Saturday morning, had rain on our drive but it didn't slow us down (or much at least). We arrived in Faytteville, played at the condo and visited then went to lunch. Hailey was super sleepy so she wasn't the best at lunch but we managed to survive. Of course she crashed in the car after lunch and napped while Aunt Tonia and I watched a movie. It was a cool and rainy afternoon so napping was perfect for her.
Saturday evening we went to the game and boy was it fun! Uncle Chip has a Suite so it was full of great food and drinks. We haven't seen some of the Grace's in a long time so it was wonderful visiting with everyone. Hailey enjoyed playing with Jacob, Sam, Hannah and Hannah's friend. She also ate from the time we arrived until the time we left.
Chris, Hailey and I stayed in Rogers at a super cheap hotel (Microtell Inn) and of course I stressed about what it was going to look like. We were arrving around 12:15 am so there wasn't much that could be done as all the rooms in Fayetteville were sold out. The hotel room actually wasn't that bad! It was clean, LARGE, had a kitchen (fridge too!), a little bench by the window with a cushion and LARGE mirrors that Hailey loved. She DID not want to go to sleep so off to the tub we went. I think it was nearly 1:30 before she finally settled down. Poor girl, she was sleeping so good in the car.
Sunday was a day of moving Will into his new and awesome dorm, Pesto's, Buffalo Wild Wings and a little resting. Lunch at Pesto's was awesome as always! It looks like a little dive but I promise you it is worth the wait. Will's new dorm was super nice and clean. Hailey enjoyed moving stuff around and putting it in his mini fridge. After he was settled, we played at the Condo and then had a late dinner at Buffalo Wild Wings. Chris and Aunt Tonia had a putting contest behind the condo on the golf course. I hoped Hailey would fall asleep on the way up there but no such luck. However, she was REALLY good. She loved all the entertainment and was begging for chicken wings. Don't worry, not chicken on the bone yet for her. The Cowboys were on so between laughing at Hailey, eating and talking with us, Chris managed to watch a little of the game. Hailey once again wanted to stay up late!
Sunday we woke to nice weather and it was a perfect golfing day. Bring a Monday, many of the private clubs were closed as well as Restaurants (HERMAN'S!!) but we made do and did we ever! We dined at Sassy's Redhouse BBQ for lunch and had Chipolte Panini's. They were HUGE and fantastic. It was such a cute place and we will definitely be back. They went off to golf while Hailey finished her and we shopped. Will needed a few things for his new dorm so we went to WalMart and Target then it was time to shop for me! I REALLY needed some fall clothes and Old Navy was having 50% off their clearance. Lucky me, I found some really good deals!!
As all wonderful things come to an end so did this trip. The rain started, we had to load the car and say good bye. It stormed on us all the way back to Tulsa but it did keep Hailey asleep.
We are now back home, clothes washed, both back at work, dogs home (they were in pound), house cleaned and back to our normal routine. Chris and I both agree that we could totally live in NW Arkansas. It is God's Country!
Yesterday we did find Hailey a few cute outfits at Kohl's and Target. She needed some fall knit clothes for day to day wear. Tomorrow we're boxing the rest of her tanks, short shorts and summer clothes up. Fall is here and it feels amazing. Ruby will be here tomorrow from 9-6:30 so hopefully I will find my carrier and we can play outside a lot!
