Last Saturday, we headed to New Braunfels for a surprise birthday party for a dear friend. Cristin Boatright has been one of our dear friends for many years and I was thrilled that we pulled off the surprise. Maybe it was because we mailed the invitations out from Texarakana? Or that JoAnn made the cake and Joey had to hide everything. Cristin knew something was going on when Joey pulled money out of their join account. It was cute, she was having major issues with it. Sorry Cristin, all for good causes.

While in town, we had a lot of fun seeing friends and their growing families. We even got lunch at Mamacita's. We didn't make Gruene ( I know, can you believe it??) because the heat index was over 100F. That was jsut way too hot with a toddler in tow.

We're already planning our next trip down there!
