Monday
- Hailey Grace went to school on soy milk, no dairy allowed in her little body for a while. Mia and Auntie Collins were on kid duty that afternoon if Hailey Grace got sick. Luckily, it was only once and Mandy kept her at school.
- I headed to Baylor Grapevine to see my favorite doctor, Dr. Gagnon. A few things had happened recently and I needed my yearly so I tackled a couple appointments in one. While he gave me a clean bill of health (thank you for those who said prayers), he set me up with an ultrasound at Baylor first thing Tuesday morning.
- Hailey Grace stayed with Mia and Auntie Collins.
- She swam with Mia and then went to Chick fil A. While there she climbed up the indoor play ground wouldn't come down. Mia learned really fast why I don't let Hailey do that when she climbed up there to get her. Mom said Hailey was just laughing her head off. I'm sure you can picture Miss Priss at the top laughing.
- I had a wonderful dinner with Jim and Lynn and a much needed glass or two of wine. I had been missing my wine.
Tuesday
- Ultrasound on my left breast. Did you even know they did those on your breasts? It was kind of funny because it NEVER crossed my mind that you could see in your breasts with that. Hum, you can! They were a little concerned with what they saw (lovely) so I had my first MAMMOGRAM! Yes, I have reached 30 and have to have those wonderful things.
My results:
- I have 8-10 cysts that I had no earthly idea about. Can't feel them, can't see them. They will monitor and watch these. Many, many women have cysts. Usually not a big deal.
- My large mass, is not caused by caffeine much to my surprise. I'm sure caffeine will irritate it as I'm sure many things will. It is rather caused by mastitis, an infection that I had last year. I didn't treat it with antibiotics like you are really supposed to and it caused tissue and milk to harden. Really makes you want to breast feed your children right? I promise, it is totally worth the big ridge in my breast. They too will monitor this every 3 months to make sure it doesn't change in size or shape. If it does then the concern will grow and it will be removed and tested.
- I feel really secure with the Radiologist and Dr Gagnon's results and pray that 3 months from now everything will look exactly the same.
- After my fun time at Baylor, I ran around viewing apartments. Holy Cow, apartments are very popular in the DFW area and most stay at a 98% or higher. One I really liked had a waiting list. Wow.
- It was raining all day Monday and Tuesday. Texas Summer thunderstorms so I was drenched.
- Had lunch of Chipotle with Lynn before I rushed back to pick my up my baby.
- She threw up 3 times (small amounts after a burp) and one bad diaper on Tuesday but boy was she happy to see me. Mandy said she saw someone who resembled me walking in the hallway and had a melt down when I didn't arrive until 4:30. Poor thing!
- Tuesday night was full of dinner, bath time and lots of playing! Gosh, I missed my side kick!
Wednesday
- Went to see Dr Porter since Hailey was still having issues over night.
- Collected a diaper sample, GOOD TIMES!
- She does not have C Diff again or Rota virus, thank goodness. Two more tests were being sent off.
- Right now, she is still on no dairy and it seems to help a lot. She had a little cheese and a bite or two of pudding this afternoon and had a TERRIBLE diaper. I should have followed the rules.
- I honestly feel like a bad mom not giving her dairy, like I am taking something away from her. Everyone is trying to make me feel better and assure me I am doing no harm and actually helping her. I KNOW I am not hurting her but I prayed she wouldn't have dairy issues like I. It's no fun and can be very painful.
- Most children have belly issues at some point between birth and 3 but tend to grow out of it after 3. Hopefully we will be in that group. She has had nothing but belly issues since I stopped nursing. I would do anything to go back and still be pumping her milk, she would be healthy.
- My mom's good friend got a report back that she has NO CANCER cells in her body!!! Praise the Lord. Sue had her big surgery and luckily it had not spread anywhere else. She is such an amazing person and sponsor for many. Aunt Marguerite needed her to remain here on earth and healthy to continue to touch the lives of others.
- My friend Shelia finished her last round of chemo today. She too will be getting a good report soon, I just know it! Please say a prayer for her.
Thursday
I know it isn't Thursday yet but it will be soon. Hailey and I have the house cleaned, laundry done, car loaded and bags packed to head out early in the morning. Chris lands in Little Rock before 11 and then we're headed to the Cabin until the 5 or 6, I can't remember! It will be a MUCH NEEDED relaxing mini vacation. We can't wait to see Chris and to have nothing scheduled.
- Laura is getting married this weekend. Congrats honey and Hailey will miss her yaya!
- The "Texarkana Curse" is still present. I will post more on that later. It's so sad!
I promise to take lots of pictures as I have been a real slacker in that department lately. Sorry, this is so boring lately, I will slow down and get back to blogging better.
