My car is going to reach 100,000 miles before she turns 4. I can't believe I've had a car 4 years. I can't believe I am going to keep this car until 2011. It's for sure a record. I just refuse to buy something else (I've got it picked out!) and burn it up with miles right off the bat. I do love my Pilot, such a good little car.
Speaking of miles, we drove to Little Rock yesterday and spent the night with Stephanie, Chad and Graham in their new and BEAUTIFUL house. Chris and I both agreed that we'd take it just like it was. It was just perfect. I enjoyed catching up and visting with Stephanie as it had been too long and the kids were too cute. They both finally gave out (Hailey on the floor) and and we enjoyed some adult time before heading to bed. By the time we had showers, Chris checked in at the airport and actually got in bed it was well after midnight. I finally crashed at 1, Hailey wanted milk at 1:44 she was trying to sleep on my head so it woke her) and then the alarm was going off at 5:15 so we're a little beat. Hailey and I dropped Chris off a little before 6 and it amazed Hailey that "Daddy up in airplane". She just couldn't understand why he got to do it and she didn't. We stopped for breakfast and she wanted her daddy "outta the big plane now" and "daddy sit on the ground now". I tried to explain to her that he flew to work but she wasn't a happy camper. I just hate it for her because she just doesn't fully understand. She finally tuckered out for about an hour of the ride home only to wake and get ready for school. She wanted to go to school and I had a million things for work going on.
We needed a few grocery items so rather than going at 4 on a Friday and fighting the weekend crowd, we went to Target. POPCORN is such a key ingredient to her behaving while shopping. That and chocolate milk. Yes, I'm a bad mom for letting her have both but 1. I get my groceries and 2. she isn't causing a scene like the other wild ones. We both win. After, we dined with Mia and Auntie Collins, gave Hailey Grace a bath and she was out at 7:45. NIIIIIICE! I had a bath and was in bed by 8 as well.
I am going to read a little of my book, drink a glass of wine (it's really terrible so maybe not) and watch a movie. I'm excited for quiet time!!
No major weekend plans around here. Mia and Auntie Collins are going to Dallas in the morning and we REALLY want to go but I just can't do that to her. They are going there and back in the same day and she WOULD NOT enjoy it. Maybe next time! I know we'll be in Irving for a while at the beginning of August so we'll stop by Uncle Ryan's house. I will probably help dad in the yard since Mellissa and Tony's wedding is only 2 weeks away. YIKES, there is still so much to do!
