Do dogs live one day at a time or 7?

Our week has been flying by and sure wish it would slow down. Between working, switching insurance, spending time as a family, swimming, sleeping and trying to keep things tidy, the week is almost over. I'm plum worn out.
Yesterday after dropping Hailey Grace off at School, we slipped off to Shreveport and headed to the Boardwalk. Of all places to eat while in that funky little town, we went to Hooter's. Ick. My wings were terrible but did enjoy the fried pickles. Chris deserved wings, it was his day.

Next up was walking the Boardwalk, Bass Pro and then the Horseshoe. We haven't been to Vegas since Superbowl with the Walkers and haven't been to the boats since we went with the Wallis's. That is totally unlike us. We're twice a year Vegas fans. Chris's hands were practicing on our way in. He was excited. Luckily, we didn't loose or win. I came home with money in my pocket. I'm stingy with cash. I don't ever see cash.

You can gamble in Shreveport because the boats are on water. What happens when the water is low like below?

Hailey Grace on the other hand was super excited to see Mia at School and walked over to say hi to Poppy. We got back and went to Carino's with Poppy and Collins and suffered the heat on the patio. Not sure why in the world we chose to sit out there but I'll blame it on Hailey. It was hot. It was humid. The service was slow. Hailey Grace was good or decent I should say. Inside, it would have been a different story so we enjoyed our dinner.
She is having issues with her toddler bed right now and thinks that our bed is her bed. Between she and Chris, I always had a hand, foot or butt in my face. So little miss sunshine slept on a pallet on the floor. We'll see who wins this game. :) Tonight, I am going to put her mattress under her blankets and see if it works the same. Wish us luck.

After dropping Hailey off at school this morning, I headed to the gym. Yes, you heard me correctly. It had been since April and I could tell. I felt like a new person even though I worked on my phone half the time. Work, work, work, blah, blah, blah. Chris and I only left her at school until lunch and then headed to Bryce's to meet Whit. We love Whit, he is such an amazing person. Hailey Grace would just watch him. After she had lunch, she played on the floor next to his chair. While at Bryce's, I met Jason Sicking's great Aunt in the bathroom. She began telling me about her nephew with two sets of twins and the youngest turning one on June 11. I joked around and asked if she was in Muenster. What a small world. She was a lovely woman and had just visited Muenster seeing all the kids. She was super excited to meet Chris, Jason's roomie from College.
Our visit to Dr. Lower this afternoon was great. GREAT, SUPER, AWESOME, AMAZING. Her ears are perfect. The tubes have healed in her ear drums. Her hearing that was below normal is now normal. It went from a 25 to 15 in three weeks. Praise the Lord! This is the longest we have gone without an ear infection since January. The only down fall is that we can't use any ear drops, swimmers ear or alcohol with the tubes. It will cause great discomfort and issues. Don't you just love this little "fishy fishy dress" as Hailey calls it. Mia brought it back from Atlantis for her. Yes, they had a marvelous time and are ready to book a trip back this summer.

We drove around a little this afternoon after visiting Sonic happy our with hopes of little miss sunshine taking a nap. The longer we drove, the more hyper she got. At one point when we drove by my cousin's house who has two ponds and Hailey was trying to climb out of her car seat. She wanted those dang fish in that pond. Just two weeks ago, she was scared to death of the fish. My oh my how their little minds change. While driving around out there (Riverlands) we drove by the house I grew up in. We all sure miss that house and all the land.

Chris volunteered to put her to sleep in our bed. I'm beating money that she puts him to sleep and she comes prancing around the corner in a minute. She's sneaky like that. Oh well, it's 4:30 and do I REALLY want her to take a 2-3 hour nap? Not really. I now hear "Dadda dadda go night night" so I'm sure she is still going strong.

Collins is going to watch Hailey for us tonight and we're thinking about splitting a pizza and a glass of wine or a movie. Sex in the City 2 is still #1 on my list!

Well I started this post yesterday afternoon but never finished it. Hailey DID NOT take a nap for Chris but rather fell asleep on the way to see Auntie Collins and Mia. We darted out to Timothy's for a pizza, stuffed jalapenos and a beer. The beers are $2 during Happy Hour and the pizza was only $14. I must say we did good!

I made the gym this morning after dropping Hailey off at school but due to a bleeding blister, I didn't stay long. Now, we're packing, cleaning and then heading to stay with my awesome friend Stephanie and her adorable family.
