Sunday Steals

After Hailey took a 3 hour nap (yes, we're enjoying these greatly!) we headed out for our "Sunday steals'. I love a good deal! I missed the newspaper this morning so I have yet to see where the sales are this week. A sweet friend, Nicolle, told me about the Dollar Store having a lot of luau stuff and boy did they ever. I desperately need to make a list of what I have and what we still need to shop for...maybe tomorrow. I bet we are close to being finished gathering items though. Thank goodness, the next two months are going to be fast paced. I say that like it is any different from our current roller coaster ride we are on.

These are from the Dollar Tree on Richmond in Texarkana. I am sure the other store will have basically the same items.

They were 3/$1 for the big flower leis and 6/$1 for the smaller plastic leis which works great for the rowdy kids.

There are 8 little tiki men for $1. I can make these into a garland or just hang on the windows before the food.
The hot pink bowl (it's quite large) just matched the theme and if I don't use it for Hailey's party, I'll fill it with outdoor toys.

The lighting bugs can breath in here for $1

Big Lots out in Oaklawn
They have a pretty decent selection here as well and was told more will arrive. There are cute trays (big ones) for $6 that I am debating. Here is a table grass skirt for $4, two flower bowls for $1 each and swimmers for $5. I think I save around $4+ on the swimmers alone.

Yay! I'm so glad you went. Sometimes you can find great items there. They really have cute luau stuff. I am sure the party is going to be so cute and fun!

Great buys!!!! We have decided to do a luau cookout right before we come back home from Texas. So I'm going to see what I can find up here for the party but won't get too much. I'll wait until we get to Texas. I'm telling everyone to not bring gifts. We can't haul anything back! :-) I can't wait to see pictures of this party (but still hoping we can actually come!)

Are you doing Kensley's birthday in Texas while you are home or are you staying through August too?
