As many of you know, we have decided on a new direction in life. We don't talk to each of you on a weekly or even monthly basis but I promise we weren't holding out on telling you. We knew the direction we were headed many moons ago but because others were offering Chris jobs, we kept quiet until now.
He leaves in the morning for training in Louisville, Kentucky until the Irving (Texas!!) store opens. We're hoping (AND PRAYING) that he is transferred there sooner than later so that Hailey and I can join him in the DFW area. We will be there until his store is built back in Tulsa. We will then relocate to Tulsa and probably live in Jenks or Bixby this time. Over time, he will begin to open new stores and hopefully build his own market. This is a wonderful and exciting future for us. We are on the ground floor of this amazing company.
His new place is called Aspen Creek (http://www.aspencreekrestaurant.com/) and is owned by Texas Roadhouse. As many of you know, TXRH is unbelievable. Their company inside and out is by far one of the best ones out there. We do owe a big thank you to Mr. Randy Crawford. He kept telling Chris to wait on this to expand and have faith because it was a perfect fit. Through all the frustrations, he held onto what Randy said and here we are. The menu is HUGE and so many choices but oh so good. I have ot say by far some of the best pork loin and seafood I've ever hard. Oh and the artichoke dip is mouth watering. Chris will open store number 4. #4. yes, #4. Think of all the big companies you know (fired up (carinos), Brinker (OTB, Chili's, etc)) and all the guys that were in the first stores. They were the face of the company. We all looked up to them like the Godfather of the restaurant business. What if this is the next big thing? I pray daily that it is. It will be. Watch out Cheddar's, here we come!
