She looked adorable going to school today and was in simple shorts and a top. I didn't even get a picture. For a while, she has been extremely clingy to mommy. Leaving her at school today was hard but I knew she would be fine. Much to our surprise, Miss Tiffany was in her room! She love her "Tib an E" as she pronounces it.
I went bathing suit shopping this morning after I dropped her off. I went to Target so I wouldn't spend a lot of money but everything was either too short or too big. I brought one home that was on sale but it has big flowers on it. Who buys a bathing suit with big flowers on it as an adult? ugh! Chris told me we'd look while he was in town. I want us to go to the pool next week but I REFUSE to wear bikini at the gym (where the pool is) and munch on my pool side burger. It is just a little strange to me. I'd feel much better in a mommy suit where I can chase Hailey Grace around the kiddie pool and the volley ball court.
After Target, I worked for a couple of hours and then went to lunch with dad, Laura and Collins at the Green Tomato. This little dive is fantastic. yum. oh my gosh yum. We started out with fried green tomatoes that were out of this world and then moved onto burgers. They cook their burgers like meatloaf and then top with anything you desire. And it is cheap. way cheap. $3.99 for a large basket of green tomatoes. They had me at hello when I walked through the door.
We are really missing Chris and being a family today. In a few days, Hailey Grace and I will have been in Texarkana for a full 6 months. SIX MONTHS. Imagine living away from your other half for six months. It isn't easy and some days you just have to sit down and cry. Some days you are depressed while others you are thankful for 10 minutes of quite time. That 10 minutes can quickly turn into days and then you long to be a family again. We are forever thankful for what my family has done for us during this time but we are still very eager to be back together as a family. Hailey wakes up laughing and calling Poppy's name and then asking for Mia and Caca on the way to school so we phone them. It will break their hearts when we leave but luckily, they will travel to see us weekly or we'll travel here. Oh and thank goodness for Skype, I'll probably have to get Hailey her own laptop as much as she likes to talk on the phone to them! I keep telling myself and Hailey that September will be here before we know it with everything we have planned the next two months. I've also found a few MDO that I MUST BOOK. I didn't realize they worked on a school calendar nor did I realize they fill up the SPRING BEFORE the fall semester. I will let you know where I get her in at. I'm hoping for St. Francis, it is a little higher but Fr Ken really BLESSED that Church with good people. Oh and Nicolle, we must get this climbers together.
Collins grabbed Hailey for me since she was working at dad's office this afternoon. I think the office is 2 miles away, plus or minus a little but not much. She was asleep by the time they pulled into the gate. I just knew she would wake getting her out of the car and into the house. I mean it was only 4:!5 in the afternoon, there was no way she would sleep. I put her in my bed, she climbed on my chest and was out. I decided to enjoy the moment and kissed her head and read a book. By 6:30, I was starving so I snuck her off me and cooked rice, fish and green beans and poured a glass of red wine. That was an hour ago. My love is still snoring away. If you don't have kids then you probably haven't heard, NEVER WAKE A SLEEPING BABY. If you know what I am talking about, you would be preparing your 3am play time. ha! Poor thing was exhausted. Her typical naps are 2-3 hours and we are right at 3 hours. I assume she took a 2 hour nap at school. I have no sheets on my bed. I have no mattress pad on my bed. I was washing them when she arrived home. I sure hope she doesn't pee. :)
I was supposed to go to a Girls night tonight at Timothy's where Carly was hosting a Stella and Dot jewelry party but ended up not making it. Kelli had to chop wood (wth, it is HOT kelli), Megan didn't have a sitter, Brooke had plans and Cristi had T ball. There were others I could have called but at 3 and the event begins at 5, I decided to snuggle with my little bug and make sure she feels ok.

I took the picture with my cell, I promise to get a new camera. I'm trying to decide if I want the Canon Rebel or the Nikon 5000. Chris and I have looked a million times and we can't decide. I'm a canon fan through and through but enjoyed working with the Nikon. BUT, Canons have been the best cameras I've ever had. WE shall see.
