Hailey got to see all the airplanes while surprising her by picking up Chris. She napped most of the way there and woke when we pulled into the airport. It's a quick 2 hour drive so I'm thankful they will fly him in and out of LIT. I can get there and back in almost the same amount of time from Texarkana to DFW.

We arrived back home around 4 to set up for dinner. I had previously invited friends over to cook out and Chris arriving the same day made it even better. Let's see, we had burgers/hot dogs/chicken, chips, deviled eggs, rotel, hot sauce, creamy jalapeno dip, an awesome corn salad, lemon ice box pie, cup cakes, pink lemonade, margaritas, beer, wine, water, cokes, sprite... The list goes on and on. We had a lot of fun and enjoyed seeing everyone. Poor Hailey was trying to stay up for all the fun but ended up crawling into my lap and was out like a light. She was so dirty (off, sunscreen, sweat) that I made her a bed on the floor so she wouldn't get her bed nasty. haha!

This morning, we all slept until 8:30 and then I made a big breakfast of eggs, toast and lots of fresh fruit. We had planned on Minton's at 10 but later found out it didn't open until noon. You better believe that we were standing in line at noon to get a chair at the pool. Hailey LOOOVES the pool and is just like a little fish swimming all over. Today, she even started kicking her feet and swimming around. Now if she will only stop drinking all the water. UCK! After about 3.5 hours, we were done. She was falling asleep on our shoulders so it was time to head out. Minton's was a blast and they have such a great pool for the kids. It was nice for Chris to be with us out there.

Hailey is now napping and not sure of our plans this evening. I had planned on cooking but we might get some Mexican with Poppy. Mia is also on her way back in town from Atlantis so we are very eager to see pictures and hear all about it. Hailey is back to school in the morning (PLEASE PRAY FOR NO BITING THIS WEEK), I have to work a little and then I think it is off to Shreveport. Chris has been wanting to go down there and it's less than an hour with the new road. he has an Academy gift card as well as a Bass Pro one that is burning a hole in his wallet. I bet he twists my arm and we stop by the boats. ick, they are so stinky but can be lots of fun if you are winning!

Prayer Request: Our sister in law needs lots of prayers for her cat snowball. She has had her all her life and has taken a turn for the worse. Please say a little prayer for a bounce back in health and a speedy recovery. Thanks!

Enjoy your Memorial Day evening!!
