She was in a rare mood today. Tears shed when I left her at school and that is rare. She was in tears when I picked her up. She had quite the attitude all afternoon and evening and only wanted me to hold her. I did change two dirty FULL diapers that looked like she was constipated so maybe she had a belly ache? After the diapers and some milk, she perked up and colored with Auntie Collins and Becca. After her bath tonight, she wanted to go to sleep and was out in a matter of a minute or two.
Chris and I messed around today and enjoyed ourselves. We made some big decisions about our future and tried to figure out what the best decision was. We always knew in our gut what we thought but it is still a big step. I'll fill you all in more once we get back from Mexico.
Our power was out for 4 hours this afternoon. I'm not sure what in the world was going but between that and the dryer being messed up, I was about to pop. The laundry is a mile long, our bag isn't packed and I need to get a hair cut. haha, I should have had a cut today and done a load at mom's house but we ran out of time. I also decided that it wasn't worth chancing some of the food even though the door remained shut. With us about to travel and Hailey staying with my mom, I went and bought new groceries. I'm half tempted to visit a laundry mat so I can have it all done. It wouldn't be a big deal but with dad having surgery on Thursday, I don't need to leave it to mildew. Ugh!!

The above picture is from the Mayo Clinic describing the knee and what a meniscus is.
As I mentioned above, my dad is having surgery on his knee on Thursday while we are gone. Yes, I am worried and stressing but hopefully Ryan will come in to help Collins take care of him. He has a torn meniscus that has been giving him trouble for a while and not allowing him to run. His friend Mike is letting him borrow some crutches and dad is determined only to be out 24 hours. We'll see about that! I'm making him a beef stew per his request and a chicken and pasta casserole. The casserole will be good to eat the day of the surgery in case he is queasy. I'm also making a cheese cake, a lemon ice box pie and some breakfast muffins. Luckily, the food part is easy and only takes a minute to throw together. The stew in the crock pot, the casserole in the oven and the rest in the fridge.
Well, Chris and I have just one more day until we arrive in Playa at the beach. We're super excited and it will be a nice mini vacation. I just hope I make it away from Hailey that long!!!

Sounds like you really need that vacation! I hope you enjoy it a lot!
I will pray for your dad. He's lucky to have you to make all of that food for him.
Sorry about Hailey's booboo. That hurts just to look at it!
