We are home, she is asleep and snoring like my normal little baby girl. Thank you everyone for all your concern. We were all scared really bad. Next time I will call 911 and not drive her to the ER myself and wait.
Earlier tonight, she was playing with her kitchen and I was sitting 2 feet away reading on a bed. Her back was to me but I could see her and see what she was doing. We had JUST finished cleaning the room and picked up everything off the floor and put up her toys. I ran to the bathroom and to check on the lasagna but happened to glance in the room on the way to the oven. The oven is directly out of the room and you can see everything. I noticed her feet were at the end of the bed, kind of top side down. I ran over to her because I thought she had fallen or was trying to climb under the bed. I picked up her and she was going limp, turning blue and her lips were purple. I had no idea what was going on. We just cleaned so I knew what all was on her kitchen, in her toy box and there was nothing on the floor. Someone or something told me she was choking. But how I asked myself? She had choked before like all other kids on food, drinks, dirt, etc but this was a different look. It was like I had Hailey in my arms but she wasn’t there. I began to hit her on her back but it wasn’t working. I started hitting harder and thought broke bones can be fixed. Right? She finally started grasping for air after what seemed like a life time. I didn’t know if it went down or came flying out. All I cared about is that she was finally making noise and I sat down and cried. I really thought she wasn’t going to make it. I knew if she didn’t, I wouldn’t have either. My chest was gearing up for a major heart attack and I could feel it.
The xray showed nothing am I am forever thankful for that. I was worried it was lodged somewhere. Once arriving home, I found a penny that wasn’t there after we cleaned and dad found jelly beans. The penny was in the area that we were in and the jelly beans closer to the night stand and under the bed a little, so kind of like she hid it there another time. I’m sure it was the penny, she loves change and runs to it any time she sees it. My dad had taken away a nickel earlier that she found in the laundry room. If we are at the park or mall, she’ll pick up the change she finds on the ground and tries to put it in her pockets. We are always watching her for that reason alone. I would say that my house is 99.5 % kid proof. I did too many home inspections so I am very anal about it. Chris and I also only let Hailey stay over night with my parents because their houses are the only other ones kid proof in the family. I want everything out of Hailey’s reach that is breakable or harmful but it just goes to show that even when you are in the same room as them, you can never be too careful.

oh my gosh, that made my heart stop....I am SO glad she is ok. It happens even when you are so super careful. Our house is also 99% child proof, but something can always slip by. I am sure this was so freaky for you. I am glad it all turned out ok!
