Windy weekend

Out here in East Texas, the wind was blowing branches off trees, flowers off their steams and Hailey's hair in her face. Saturday was a busy day for us, the sun was shining high and bright but the wind made it a little cool. Kelli's lingerie Shower and Bachlorette party was at my dad's house at 7 so the day was full of preparations. I woke up at 7:41 exactly and couldn't go back to sleep. Hailey napped from about 8 until 9:30 while I cleaned the house. She woke up in full force so Mia took her to Wendy's for lunch, Target and Sam's. She has learned to sit in the buggy again (YES!!) and enjoys the shopping trips. however, you have to buy her something. Saturday it was the cutest Carter's dress in a 2T from Sam's. I will let her wear it this week since it is going to be in the 80's. Praise the Lord for warmer and dry temperatures! I am so over the highs, lows, wind, rain, snow, etc all in one week. Hailey's cough and nose is almost gone and I hope it is the last bought of allergies/congestion.

Back to Kelli's shower. We had two dips (Rajin Cajin & Crazy Janes) that were great, chips, crackers, chocolate covered almonds, cheese, grapes, brownies, mini sandwiches, punch, sangria, red wine, beer, coke and water. Oh and a penis cake! It was hilarious! Everyone did so well on their gifts and Kelli loved each and everything. This time next month it will be crunch time for the wedding. I think she is becoming more and more nervous as the days grow closer. May 1st will be here before you know it. Luckily, they are redoing their house and it keeps her really busy.

Photobucketunday rolled around, I picked up Hailey at 9. It was the first time I left her with Mia and Auntie Collins "just because". I say it like that because I didn't go out with the girls, I ran to Timothy's for a Duck pizza with Brooke and Leslie but would have been just as happy hanging out at the house with Hailey and the girls. I really had no reason that I HAD to leave her, they just wanted her to stay. She loves going and playing. They danced, ate, played babies, watched movies and she was in bed with Collins when I arrived. Collins was snuggled under the covers and Hailey was stretched out sideways with her head next to Collins and her feet wide apart. Have you ever watched toddlers and their sleeping habits? Wild, crazy, always moving, sauna, talking...the list could go on and on. After picking her up, we met dad at the Fiesta House at 9:15. This has become our normal Sunday morning place. It is SOOOOO good, SOOOOO cheap and Hailey behaves. They bring chips and hot sauce (very mild) so it entertains her. I order her sausage, eggs and diced potatoes with ketchup. She manages to finish most of the meat and a little of the potatoes. The rest of the day was full of grocery shopping at Walmart, coloring with chalk on the carport (loves chalk $1 at Walmart and Target), washing all her new clothes, putting up her winter items and bringing out her summer (I'll talk about that in a bit), watching a movie, playing with her new Minnie Mouse doll who is currently at school with her and addressing EAster cards. She napped from 1:45-4:35 so we were up until 10. Well we climbed in bed around 8 but she just wasn't having it so we watched Shawn the sheep, drank her milk, ate oreos and read a few books. AFter that, she was sleepy and put her head on my chest and was out. I move her to her little Toddler bed once she is in a deep sleep and then she wakes me around 7:30 for "nilk nilk momma". I thought she would go back to sleep this morning but she heard Poppy and was bouncing around by 7:30.
She is at school right now and was really excited about attending today. She took Minnie Mouse to show Miss Tiffany (her teacher) and wiped her face with a damp cloth this morning. I think she wanted Minnie to look her best. Too cute! When we arrived, there was a new little boy in her class, Aiden. Hailey walked right up to him and looked him over. She got in her face and got a good look. I tried to explain to her that it wasn't nice to stare but she was trying to figure out who this new kid was. We all got a good laugh. Aiden seemed a little younger and still real small. I told Hailey to be nice and take care of him because he was still a baby. Hopefully there won't be any force feedings with the bottle today! haaha!
I ran to the gym after dropping her off (in the same parking lot) but stopped on the way home for a burger and fries from RoadRunner. They are the BEST ever but a ton of food. It evens out right? maybe a little? I am so full though. Most people split the burgers but I just couldn't stop. I lost my will power a long time ago.

haha. I love the idea of a penis cake. One of my wedding showers we played pin the penis on the man. It was hilarious! I know it sounds kind of crude though...
