Oh Night Clinic

It seems that anytime I post that Hailey is feeling better and on the track to improvement, she takes a turn for the worse. I mean she IS feeling better and isn't throwing up but she is still having water poops and about 3 times in 15 minutes. This started in the middle of the afternoon and we couldn't stop it. She was screaming because it was burning, I was using a tube of cream every three diapers and it was continuously growing worse. I feared the ER would be in our over night plans and that is not a place I want to visit with all the nasty germs. Plus, the redness became a rash and some spots of the rash became blisters and yeast like. She is drinking a little Pedialyte and a little water but she is kind of not wanting anything right now. We are offering her everything so that she gets fluid in her body but she isn't wanting it. I think she has put two and two together and knows that it is going to come out and hurt if she drinks/eats it.

Dr. Cheryl was working the night clinic and it is our second time to see her. She is really wonderful and anyone is lucky to have her as a Pedi. She has a natural calming effect on the children. After checking over Hailey, she sat down with us and told us her favorite things to try and do. It will be TWOO FULL WEEKS before Hailey is back to normal. Yes, TWO FULL WEEKS. The Probiotics will hopefully help her acid levels in her body even out sooner but we'll see. She gave us a few different things and we were on our way. When she was examining Hailey, the ears were still red so she was unable to take Hailey off her Omnicef. I think we have 2-3 more days on that and I can only pray that it clears up her ears.

Mom and I drove around and stopped at Walgreens while trying to get her to sleep. The car seat hurts her bottom terribly but luckily she was beyond exhausted and crashed. She is not back on milk again yet but maybe by tomorrow night. I hate it for her. Ive seen Hailey sick, I've sen her cry but I've NEVER seen her go through this. EVER. She is such a bubbly, out going little fire ball and she doesn't want to walk, screams in pain and when you hold her, you can't touch her bottom.

We're using all kinds of diaper cream since we are going through at record speeds. On top of that, we are using Nystatin (anti fungal cream), Calmoseptine (like a burn cream), Balmex ( Vaseline like), Lanolin 40% and a soothing oatmeal bath treatment if we can ever talk her into a bath. It burns her terribly but I think once she is in it, it will sooth it. Tomorrow, I have to go to Target Pharamacy and pick up Resonol which is also a burn cream. They were closed when I arrived tonight and it is behind the counter. We also started Culturelle Probiotics for kids to help even out all the acid in her system from the antibiotics over the last three weeks (Penicillin, Omnicef & Donatussin) and to just promote a healthier immune system for her. MAYBE, JUST MAYBE all this will help.

Hailey and I had planned on heading to Austin early this morning but due to Hailey's condition, there was no way she could travel that far. We'll see how she feels tomorrow and go from there. We had big plans this weekend (Tyler's 1st birthday and seeing good friend!) and miss Chris terribly but healing Hailey so we don't end up in the Hospital is what we are focusing on now.

I can only imagine how exhausted you are. I read this earlier and should have left you a comment, then I saw your latest post about the hospital.

I just don't know what to say. I will be praying special prayers for you all! I hope she is better SOON. That is way too much for all of you to go through!
