Let the ear infections roll

I decided to take Hailey back to see Dr. Porter after I was assured I was not that "crazy mom who takes her kid in for everything". I am very glad I did! We had an appointment at 2:30 to have her eyes and cough checked but much to our surprise the ear infections were back. Those are just terrible! The right one is once again really bad and the left one if a typical ear infection. Maybe this is why she hasn't been able to drink laying down in bed. I blamed being up through out the night on the coughing which is just a congested cough and one antibiotic will hopefully cure both.


Hailey taking Omnicef once a day for 10 days to cure her ear infections and cough. Omnicef is used to treat many different types of infections caused by bacteria, such as acute flare-ups of chronic bronchitis, middle ear infections, throat and tonsil infections, pneumonia, sinus infections and skin infections. She still has a rash between her fingers and on her upper right thigh close to her bottom. Besides that, she is taking Donatussin drops for her congested cough and Vigamox eye drops for her pink eye. I was already giving her the Donatussin over the weekend to ease her cough so I was happy to be giving her the correct thing. Vigamox is an antibiotic used to treat common eye infection, bacterial conjunctivitis, commonly called "pink eye." I'm hoping we can knock out the pink eye in the next few days and it is most likely caused by rubbing her eye after her nose.

On a different note, Hailey has a new teacher and new classmates! One little girl, Aspen, remained in the class but the 2-3 year olds moved into another room. Hailey is now in a class with more kids her age and I am THRILLED!

Last night she was trying to get comfy and climbed into my bed and took over. This photo was from 1:30 in the morning.
