Although we LOVED being in Austin and spending time with Chris, it is really nice to be sleeping in our own beds. The hotel bed just doesn't cut it. Also, the porn star neighbor isn't too hot either.
The drive was good, steady traffic and Hailey slept until DeSoto. From there, she ate the cheese off crackers, destroyed my car, danced in her car seat and tried a little Sunny D. Thankfully she wasn't a huge fan. I never give her sugar drinks so I just expect her to love them. Upon arriving in Texarkana, we met Poppy (my dad) at Carino's for some Italian food. Yum, we were craving some pasta! Hailey had fries (imagine that), chicken, tomatoes and black olives with a mini brownie and ice cream for dessert. I ended up eating
most of her food and she "slurped" up my angel hair pasta. For some reason, she just wasn't really in the mood for dinner as it was past her bedtime (we arrived at 8:15) and she needed a bath.
Once we were ready for bed, way past her bedtime, Hailey and I said her prayers and her "good nights". These are Hailey's ideas that she randomly started. Each night right before bed, she says "night night" to different people but all on her own. Tonight it was "night night mommy, night night daddy, night night bella, night night dora...and boots. Where's dora? where's dora? (I tell her dora is night night) night night dora". It is so sweet and funny to see who she says night night to. Bella and Dora are usually involved but she has included the birds, the bath tub, socks, etc so you never know what she will say. I love it all!
Tomorrow she will head back to school if her rash isn't present. She is snoring like a champ right now but her benadryl should be kicking in soon. Not sure what we have planned over the next few days but luckily most of our clothes are clean. I threw them in down in Austin so it is one less thing to do. Imagine I'll try and exercise a little, get a hair cut (haven't had one in 6 months!!) and address Kelli's invitations. They need to go out early next week and I have 100 to address. I'll be busy!
