Double Ear Infections

After sleepless nights, screaming and crying, and days of fever we decided to visit the doctor. Turns out, she had ear infections in BOTH ears. The right one was just a typical ear infection and the left one is a little worse. Seems that when the sleepless nights began last Monday, that was from the left ear. Poor Hailey Grace!! When the babies have ear infections, it hurts when they sleep (laying their head down), it makes them cranky, irritable, etc. On top of that, her last molar on the bottom is trying to come in and a couple of her eye teeth. The doctor we saw today (night clinic) we were in for it! Lovely right? No, I really liked her and she was funny about it. Teething can cause their ear to hurt but an ear infection and teething together are a nightmare. Dr. Porter will check Hailey's ear on Friday when we go in for her 18 month well check up. Today was a REALLY good day at the doctor. Hailey didn't cry or scream like she typically does. We didn't really do anything different either. Maybe she is just getting over her fear or maybe because she had a blanket? Either way, I was THRILLED. That was the first thing my mom asked me and when I told her Hailey was perfect, she was just as shocked as I was.

As I mentioned earlier, Hailey has this new blanket that she really enjoys. I needed a blanket for her school days and off to Target we went. They had a great clearance section and it just happened to have sheets with a matching fleece blanket. I let Hailey pick out the ones she wanted and I must say that it was by far the cutest one there. And to top it off, she picked out a sheet and then the blanket that matched it. I was impressed! I'll snap a picture in the morning because the blanket is in the washer. I don't think there was a clean section on it after today. She likes to take this blanket everywhere with us. I am tempted to visit Target for more when we can no longer carry this blanket. You can kind of see it in the bottom of the picture above.

I began running again today. I'm sure my shins will hurt in the days to come but it is totally worth it. I love the way you feel after a good run or work out. I tried to remember the last run I had or the last time I step into a gym...any ideas Kristen? I went to the park and ran on their track with Copper. He loved running and was very eager to take a swim. For a minute, I thought we were both going to be in that dirty water. I believe after the walking/running I finished 3.75 miles. I took my time, walked a little, ran a little, played with dogs a little. We were out there for about an hour and the vitamin D (sun) felt wonderful! Such a BEAUTIFUL day it was. I hear the clouds are due by Wednesday.

I have people lined up to look at our house in Tulsa but am having a hard time with the owner setting up the viewings. Isn't that fantastic? We have all these people who are interested and would like to be moved in by 2/1 and we can't get the house shown. Lovely. Hopefully it will work out because it would be super not to pay another monthly rent.

On another note, please pray for our dear friend Case and his family. They lost a loved one very close to their heart early this morning after a battle with Cancer. Please pray for strength and for their health during this difficult time.

I undressed Hailey tonight and she went to sit on her potty as she does each night before her bath. SURPRISE, SURPRISE, she went tee tee in the potty again!!! YAY for Hailey! She was so proud and clapping and used a ton of toilet paper to wipe. Silly little thing. I am still not pushing the issue and don't plan on it but she likes to sit on her pink potty before the shower. Sometimes she goes, sometimes she doesn't, sometimes she pees on the floor, sometimes she plays in it. :)

Hailey Grace dressed for the day this morning. I LOVE LOVE LOVE this dress from Target and it was only $11.99. We got this one and a black and pink dot one. SO CUTE! They are a big since I got 24 M but thought it would be great for cool summer nights too with out her leggings under it.
