black eyed peas, cabbage & corn bread

BUT RED PANTIES? That is the newest good luck charm I heard yesterday thanks to Holly. I plan to run out and buy every pair of red under ware for Chris, Hailey and I. We need all the good luck we can get. Do you have any good luck traditions?
We do the following:
cabbage
black eyed peas
corn bread
wine (it's from red grapes right??)
12 grapes - one for each month of the year for prosperity
Eating pork (pork bacon in our case and b/c pigs eat moving forward and those who eat it will move forward this next year). We put ours in the cabbage and black eyed peas.

Other ones I've heard that I don't always do.
Wearing new clothes because it encourages more new clothing to come.
Leave all the doors and windows open on NY day to let the old year roll out.
$$ in your pocket when it turns midnight
Kissing your spouse
Any baby born on NY day has good luck the rest of his/her life.
No money should be spent going out
No crying on Jan 1 or you will be crying all year
No poultry on Jan 1
happy new year Pictures, Images and Photos
