Holly did a wonderful blog for this time of the year so I thought I would follow in her wonderful foot steps.
Many of you know that Chris and I have had a rough two years. Mainly just with the obstacles that life hands you. We haven't been very open with many people and only shared bits and pieces but it has been a challenge. Those close people we have opened fully up to, we owe you. You are the ones who kept us sane and lugging forward.
I look back over the last challenging year and even though I am SO READY to be in our next step in life, I am so thankful for many things. Some people don't have anything and we are learning to be thankful for what we do have.
We have so many things to be thankful for.
Hailey Grace is the thing we are most thankful for this year (and every year to come). She is amazing. She holds us together as a family and brings joy when times are tough. You can't possibly understand until you feel the love. A mother's love can heal anything.
That even though the last two years have been challenging, things are going in the right direction. I'm thankful for good news. It is flowing in and it puts a nice buzz in the air. Such a welcome buzz around this household.
I am thankful for such a strong friendship with my husband. It makes the tough days a lot easier. It makes yelling at him for leaving his clothes on the floor end in laughter. It makes the smell of his office go away with me burning candles in there and him understanding. It makes us finish each others sentences and crave the same places. It makes us better family.
Our family. We LOVE our family. Parents, grandparents, brothers, sisters, cousins, aunts, uncles and friends. All of you! We would be lost with out you. Kristen, Holly, Cristin, Toni, Stephanie, Cristi, Collins, Kelli... I would have been lost without you. You've helped me see the good in bad situations. You made me laugh when I didn't think I had it in me. Mark and Jason...same with you from Chris. You have been there for Chris more this year than anyone. Mark, your converstations with Chris have made him so proud of you and made him feel great. He goes on and on about it! THANK YOU from the bottom of our hearts, THANK YOU.
Cokes, brownies, nacho cheese dorito's on my turkey sands with mustard, red wine, Aveeno face wash, gold fish, raisins between my toes
Noodles and Boo lotion. Heaven.
Staying at home with Hailey. We never realized how important it was to us for one of us to stay home with Hailey until we were challenged with the possibility of putting her in day care. That was one of the scariest time in our life. She will start to attend Mother Day Out soon. We're taking baby steps but I promise by kindergarden, she'll go 5 days a week.
DATE NIGHT. Wow, date night. Adults only date night. no kids. nice.
Breastfeeding. I never thought I would be so thankful that I breast fed. It was amazing. It was hard. It was so tiring. It was AMAZING. I went down many sizes. Like I said, it was AMAZING. Cristin- I'm SOOO proud of you too for doing it with your challenging career at Carino's.
The smell of laundry. We're clean, fed and happy.
Spring Flowers, Summer smiles, fall smells and Winter cheer.
Facebook. I LOVE talking to old friends and family and seeing where life took us.
Babes. Nothing beats fried chicken from Babe's. A Zapata Margarita.
Shopping with friends, play dates, lotion, vanilla ice cream on top of my nightly brownie.
Hardwood floors. I hate carpet.
Chris and I waking up to a smiling baby each morning. A babies smile will melt a heart.
I am thankful for our health, happiness and the love we three share.
When we say our prayers at night, we thank God for all the amazing people in our life and pray for health and wealth for each and everyone of you.
We love you!
Holly- I love that you are thankful for your front loading washing machine.... I'm hoping for one this next year..
