Bass Pro does free pictures with Santa each year but this was our first visit there. Hailey walked up to Santa when it was her turn, shook his hand and then climbed on his lap. This SHOCKED Chris and I. We were prepared to sit in the picture to keep the tears from flowing. The girls snapped two shots, I backed up and she started to get scared so off Santa's lap she came. The pictures are cute (I'll post them) but she didn't smile. You can't sit her there and tell her to smile for some reason. She'll cheese and put on a show for you on her time but not on your time.
After Bass Pro, we had planned on dinner at Fish Daddy's but Chris decided agaisn't it and we headed to out local Mexican dive. The food is always tasteful and they have cheap Margs. I have been pushing Chris to watch Twlight since New Moon comes out on Friday so we drove around to different Redboxes until we found it. He loved it! Of course I fell alseep half way through it but I was beyond exhausted and those margs helped us all sleep soundly until Tanner needed out at 745 this morning.
The weather outside is still cold and windy. These are the days we really miss Colorado. If it is going to be this cold then please let there be white snow on the ground. We had flurries but nothing major. Fayetteville and Rogers (90 miles) got some but they are in the Ozarks. Jealous! Hailey loves the cold air blowing on her face. She squeals and wants to jump up and down but hasn't figured out how to get her feet off the ground yet. Don't worry, she was dressed really warm and had her brown bear jacket on.
It's only 12:30 and I think it should be closer to 5. This day has been LONG for some reason. Maybe because we've done a lot around the house or maybe because we're itching to get out?? We made our grocery list so we have to visit Walmart later once Chris arrives home from a meeting. It's only for a week so not too bad. We're planning to head to Irving on Tuesday as long as we can figure out the dogs. Our pet sitter is full and we don't want to pay $40 a day to board them but they DO need their shots so they may be riding to Irving with us. We're going to visit with some friends on Tuesday night, the Bells on Wednesday and then lunch at the Melrose with my family on Thursday. I think we're heading to Weatherford on Thursday afternoon to take Grandpa a Turkey dinner. Chris closes on Friday and I'm heading to Texarkana with Hailey for a visit and Toni's shower.` She is having twin girls!!!
