I'll have to search for all my pictures because we're having issues with our HP laptop...guess it has been 2-3 years so it was time for it go to out. Those cheap ones only seem to last a few years. Maybe that is way we grew up on Mac's and other long lasting computers. With 6 people on the same computers, they have to be strong and durable!
We've had a pretty low key week since the rain is still lingering around. Ruby came on Monday and is here today. The girls played well this morning and only Ruby wanted to nap. Two hours later, Hailey was ready to nap. She wanted to play just a little longer but she also had a belly ache.
She is starting to drink more and more milk (Whole milk) and she is having more and more belly aches. I stopped giving her milk if she woke around 11pm so that has cut out a lot of the screaming in the middle of the night. She is still have a lot of dirty diapers and rash issues. I coat her little bottom constantly with diaper cream but it still turns red. Our pedi would play it off as no big deal and tell me to try lactose free or silk if I wanted. Maybe it really isn't a big deal but it is a small big deal to me. We're going through tubes of diaper rash cream like crazy. I've used more in the past 3 weeks than I used in 14 months. I can't count the times she has had rashes because she hardly got them. Then all of a sudden, after switching to whole milk, we can't get rid of it. It hurts her, she screams and then I want to cry because it is major pain for her. And yes, we have Destin, Burt's, Butt Paste, Target, etc brands of diaper rash cream. It actually looks more like a burn rash than a diaper rash.
Any advice? I am guessing she isn't tolerating the milk well. She nursed until 14 months and I can't drink milk and only do skim in my cereal. I do eat soft serve and the occasional cheese but who can resist? Should I just switch her to Silk which is soy ( I was a soy baby/kid)? Horizon lactose free (which isn't really bad)? 2 % milk (might be easier on her belly)? or just give it another couple of weeks since it has only been 3 weeks? If the rash doesn't get better, I will take her to see someone here in the Tesla area.
Chris was off Tuesday (If you want to call it off) after his meeting from 9-12. We had lunch at Chick fil A, ran errands, napped, played and had Mexican for dinner. Hailey slept through dinner so it was nice. He is on a closing stretch so it means 2 am bedtimes and 8 am wakes (for me anyways). I'm not a fan of him closing at all in this house we live in. You can hear everything and it usually wakes Hailey even with her noise maker going.
Wednesday was a gloomy day but Hailey and I decided to get out for a bit. We went and did a little Christmas shopping and went to Walmart and then back home. It was just too cold and rainy to do much else.
Today has been about the same. Ruby arrived at 10 and is here until 6:30 tonight. I've been working on my Christmas list between tea parties and playing baby with the stuffed animals.
I'm downloading my camera to our main computer so I'll post a few pictures in a bit.
Yay for good shows tonight!!

I wish I had some advice for you. Boyd didn't tolerate whole milk at first, so we just mixed half milk, and half formula for about a week. Then he was fine. I know, the rash is so painful for baby and mom! It sounds like maybe she does need soy? Especially if you were a soy baby. I'm sorry. It stinks not knowing what to do!!!
Tonight is a good show night. I'm bummed that Kevin has to work late, so we are recording our shows and will probably watch them tomorrow night.
We're going to the FM pumpkin patch next week, so I'll let you know how it goes. :)
You'll enjoy the pumpkin patch. It was such a cold and nasty day when we were there last year but loved it! Take time and drive around Tour 18 Golf Course too if you haven't. Wow, it's a whole different world out there!
I had to switch her to straight milk because I didn't have any BM stored. She HATED it but I kept pushing and finally we are on it. I've been putting her bottom in warm water to clean her instead of wipes, a siltz bath with baking soda, changing her like crazy, lots of diaper rash cream and even wearing her cloth diapers. Hopefully we'll either get over it and she'll learn to tolerate it better or I will pick up something else tomorrow evening. We're having around 4 dirty diapers a day and I mean full! poor kids, they things they go through.
Chris closes tonight too so I imagine we'll be watching the shows via web tomorrow. Hailey wouldn't let me pay attention to them. :)
I can't wait to see pictures next week!
Ok- so maybe Holly will leave a good comment... but I would think you probably need to try soy. 3 weeks seems like plenty of time for her system to "get use" to the whole milk. I bet the soy helps. Poor baby- I didn't realize her rashes were so bad. I'm like you- when Kensley's are bad like that and she's screaming at the top of her lungs, I want to cry with her! Hopefully you'll get it figured out!
