Texas

We had a marvelous time on our super nice trip to Texas. We arrived late on Friday night and left around 8 on Sunday night. Although we didn't get to see many friends, we did enjoy our time with the families. Sometimes, it is just a family weekend.
Uncle Mark came in and Hailey Grace loved every minute of his time. She definitely keeps everyone on their toes. We enjoyed our visit with Lynn and Jim and glad they got to see Hailey. It is amazing how much she can change in a few short weeks. They gave Hailey a super cute basket for Halloween (I'll post pictures tomorrow) filled with goldfish and a Halloween book. She totes that basket around like a purse once she fills it up with her goodies. Today, her goodies were her lamb (Lilly from the Eastlick's), keys, shovel and spider beanie. It's funny to see what she carries around each day. On Sunday evening before we left, Lynn served trout, rice with broccoli and all the side dishes to go with it. The trout was some that they recently caught while fishing in Colorado so it was really fresh and yummy! We hope to make that trip in a couple of years once we are settled.
My cousin, Caroline, kept Hailey while Chris and I went to dinner on Saturday evening. We honestly couldn't remember the last time it was just the two of us. Hailey LOVED every second playing with Caroline, Kent, Whit and Wesley. I am so happy that they enjoyed her too. The boys are so good with her and really hope to go visit again soon. My dad and Ryan stopped by for a visit at Caroline's before we headed to dinner. It was nice to see him, Amanda and Amanda's daughter, Shannon Marie. They had been shopping and bought HG the cutest clothes ever! My dad has always been a great shopper and he gets that from Zita (my grandmother). I know Hailey enjoyed seeing them too as well as Whit and Wesley. He adores those little boys! Uncle Ryan was looking good and it is always awesome to see him. I'm sorry Ryan that I didn't take you to Campisi's (spelled it wrong I'm sure!). We always seem to go there but it is SO GOOD! Next time, I promise we will!
Sunday we woke for breakfast at Le Peep's which is one of my dad's favorite places in Las Colinas. Everything was great and entirely too much food. Hailey wanted to eat off of everyone plate but her own. Of course, like always I eat her meal along with mine.. MUST STOP.. mental note....:) It was a rainy, gloomy Sunday so we headed back to Irving to hang out and dad headed back to Texarkana. It was nice of them to drive over when we were in town.
Here are some pictures of that weekend.

These are from the day we went to the fair. She was ready for a nap (even though she slept 14 hours the night before!). Yes, she is sucking on a bottle. She didn't take a bottle until 9 months so if she wants a bottle for a bit, NOT A BIT DEAL!
