Sunday was a fantastic day that started REALLY early. Hailey woke at 7:30, drank some milk and was ready to get up by 815. I now remember what I am not a fan of a 7 oclock bedtime when Chris closes.
We showered, had breakfast, played, did laundry, cleaned the kitchen and watched a movie waiting on Chris to wake. We finally decided it was time and we jumped on the bed! The three of us went to Texas Roadhouse, shopped for costumes for our Halloween party, Christmas shopped and went to Mass. We weren't finished after Mass so off to Walmart we went and Wendy's for nuggets for Hailey. We were busy bees that day! Luckily, we decided to be pirates for the Halloween Party and then finished the night with Margaritas from a little dive place in BA (El Tequlia). Dinner was fantastic and we were all asleep by 1030.
Ruby came to play on Monday and I packed/loaded while they napped. We were eager to get out of town. We're used to spending 5-7 days in Texarkana on each trip so this short one is really challenging for us. We arrived safely after 2 1/2 hours of crying, a couple dirty diapers, Sonic, a stop for ice cream and lots of miles. Hailey stayed awake until we hit hwy 59 in Texarkana. How lovely! :) It took us all of 5 hours with the stops so it was right at 11. We arrived, played with Auntie Collins, Mia and Bella before a bath and bed. I stayed up and read for 30 minutes and then turned in myself.
Once again, we had an early morning which was fine to accomplish things. We played with Auntie Collins and Bella (Mia was at work) and then went and met Poppy at 10. Auntie Collins even had chicken minis for Hailey Grace! We were excited to see Poppy and his new house. What a fun place it will be! I've taken a lot of pictures and will post once back in Tulsa. They have been working for a few weeks to redo his cottage on three acres. It has lots of room and a massive storage building with a neat old barn. I can't wait for it to be finished.
Bryce's was our stop for lunch today and boy was it yummy! Hailey and I had pot roast, veggies and mashed potatoes with Poppy, Auntie Collins and Amanda. AFter lunch we headed to the Bakerman on Stateline for cupcakes and to see Mia. Hailey LOVED her puppy cupcake. If you haven't tried it, you MUST (www.thebakermantxk.com).
The rest of the day was a little Christmas shopping, playing with Auntie Collins and hanging out.
We dined at Zapata's with Poppy and then he kept Hailey for an hour for me to visit with Cristi. Tony and Melissa even stopped by! Thanks, that was a real treat!
