There is nothing better than an evening at the farm, watching the sunset over the river and people are few. It was Hailey's first trip to the farm and I think it was a hit. When we arrived, she was sleeping so we watched Mark catch the buffalo fish. The river swelled and came onto the farm and along with it, the Buffalo fish. They are so big and once the water goes down, they just lay in the field and die. So it was very adventurous watching him catch the fish with his bow and arrow.
AFter the "catching of the fish", we had our own fish fry. No, we didn't eat the buffalo fish, we had fresh catfish. They were fantastic and pulled out of the river Thursday morning. They were called Blue Catfish. Hailey and I made a super easy and wonderful lemon Ice box pie and took it out there. I'll post the ingredients a bit later.
We're having a wonderful time and being a little lazy. I broke down and got a new cell phone today after a year of having a terrible one. I'm learning how to work it.
