I went in to buy a large plastic container for Hailey's old clothes. I found a great deal on a large one ($10) and then kind of walked around with Brooke. She found some really cute clothes but I just wasn't in the mood for clothes. Hailey needed a new pair of shoes and I thought these would be adorable with shorts. They weren't too expensive ($12.99) and the ones I really liked were out in her size. Of course when I checked the website, they were on sale for $9.74. Just my luck! I keep telling myself that it would have been the same price with shipping. RIGHT?
I also racked up on canned pineapple. Yes, canned Pineapple. Strange huh? We are having skewers made with ham, pineapple and cherries topped in an orange marmalade sauce for Hailey's birthday. I love Dole Pineapple in the can. It was like $1 for the large cans. Cheaper than Walmart. You go Target! They only had 9 cans. Bummer. I have no idea how many we will need. I am looking for coupons if any of you come across them. I've seen them 2/$1.
See, I told you each item was reaching out and begging me to take them home. It gets worse from here.
I was trying to figure out items to put in the kids party favors from Hailey Grace's birthday party. We'll probably have 15 + kids present and then 13 more if her class comes. It adds up fast. In the $1 section at Target (which I totally love!) has glow in the dark necklaces 15 for $1 and 12 crazy straws for $1. Cute little things to put in there. I'm sure I am leaving something out. OHHHHH, Fruit Roll ups. $1.77 for 10. What parents wants me sending their kid home with more sugar or candy from a birthday party so I thought they would work perfectly. Also, they was 10 root beer float Popsicles for $10. I bought 5 boxes. YUM. OH SO YUM. I hate root beer. I love root beer floats.
Continuing with the $1 Section at Target, there is a while area of Hello Kitty. Hailey lives in her Hello Kitty boots because there is a kitty on them. She doesn't know who she is yet but some of the older girls in town can't get enough of this fad. Everything was a $1. The adorable bag, the socks, coloring book, glasses, colored pencils, etc. What a cute and inexpensive gift. Any little girl would totally love it!
This morning while working on some emails, I printed this off and then made them into coloring books. These are a great and very inexpensive way to have fun. On the front is a little message from Hailey Grace thanking the children for coming to her party. I will write each of the kids name in the blank and put it in the sand bucket or luau sack.
